Community Guidelines

iDateHabesha is built on respect for our community and our culture. These guidelines apply to everyone, all the time.

Be respectful

  • Treat every member with kindness, even when you are not interested.
  • Decline politely. A simple "no, thank you" is enough.
  • Disagree without insults.

Be real

  • Use your real first name and recent, clear photos of yourself.
  • Be honest about your age, location, intentions, and background.
  • Do not impersonate other people or use stolen photos.

No harassment or threats

  • No unwanted sexual messages, repeated unwelcome contact, or pressure to share photos.
  • No threats of violence, doxxing, or coordinated harassment.

No hate or discrimination

  • No slurs or hateful content based on ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other identity.
  • Different traditions exist within the Habesha community — Orthodox, Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, secular, and more. Respect them.

No scams or spam

  • Do not ask for money, gift cards, crypto, or banking details. Ever.
  • Do not promote businesses, social handles for marketing, or external websites.
  • Do not send unsolicited bulk messages.

18+ only

  • iDateHabesha is for adults only. If you encounter anyone who may be under 18, report the profile immediately.

No explicit or unsafe content

  • No nudity, sexually explicit content, gore, or content that promotes self-harm.
  • No illegal content of any kind.

Report unsafe behavior

If something feels wrong, trust your instincts. Use Report, Block, or Unmatch right inside the conversation or profile. Our team reviews reports and takes action, including permanent removal for serious violations.

For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first.
